Digitised with an Artec Eva. This slightly larger than life sculpture titled 'Le Réveil' (fr. reawakening) depicts a nude female stretching as if awakening from sleep. Laurent-Honoré Marqueste was a French sculptor, born in Toulouse, working in the neo-Baroque Beaux-Arts tradition. He was famed for his large number of allegorical figurative sculptures 'Perseus Slaying Medusa' and 'The Centaur and Deianira'
