Benvenuti a Firenze, Italia! This wonderful Multi-Color model is thanks to Mosaic Manufacturing! This amazing result can be achieved by using Mosaic Manufacturing's Palette, a device that takes up to four filaments and combines them into a single filament strand. This strand is then fed to your printer, enabling your single-extruder printer to create multi-filament prints! The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, commonly known as "Il Duomo", is one of the most magnificent churches in Italy and the world. It was begun in 1296 in Gothic style and completed in 1436 with the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi, a masterpiece of architecture and world landmark. Because of its enormous size and detail, it was a very ambitious project that took more than a century, and so it has several styles as time passed by. The Gothic Revival style can be seen in the façade, buttresses and interior. However, this cathedral shows the first features of what would be the Renaissance style, as latter architects wanted to break away from the Gothic. It is, along with the Campanile and Baptistery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (based on Wikipedia's entry). MiniWorld is excited to bring this historical model to life!
