I remember studying this in art school 30 years ago, Only after seeing the Bauhaus work in Tel Aviv, has it all come together and I can see the links. Villa Savoye (French pronunciation: [sa.vwa]) is a modernist villa in Poissy, on the outskirts of Paris, France. It was designed by Swiss architects Le Corbusier and his cousin, Pierre Jeanneret, and built between 1928 and 1931 using reinforced concrete.

About the author:
Urban Calamari
Over the last forty nine years I have held exhibitions and entered a variety of art competitions. However, my creative art skills have developed beyond the paintbrush, to encompass different mediums such as digital media, laser cut designs, non-linear editing and sculpture. Through my artwork I challenge myself to create imaginary worlds and iconic imagery. I am inspired by my local history and also I am a keen traveller journeying to explore world's architecture, art, history and landscape. Often I return with several sketchbooks and photographs that capture images I continue to develop in my artwork.
