It's pretty fair to say the original part cooling duct fitted to the Tronxy X5S is utter garbage and I wanted to improve it without having to tear apart the carriage assembly and totally redesign the thing. I searched around and found one by Thieber but it would appear that Tronxy have changed the design of the printhead carriage and the nozzle is no longer central to the ring and it no longer fits. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2836476).The carriage has very little clearance to the nozzle tip so I set about a bit of a redesign which was scratch built, although inspiration came from the above. There are quite a few designs out there which use axial fans but in my experience, these do not generate sufficient pressure before stalling, to effectively work as a ducted cooling supply source, hence the design here utilising a radial blower type fan.As has been pointed out by other critics of the Tronxy OEM cooling solution, the 4010 blower is akin to an asthmatic Bluebottle so although the first duct design worked better than the original, I then designed a 2nd version which accepts a 4020 blower. This seems to shift a fair bit more air and I bought a box of four of them for less than a tenner.
