To reduce my heating costs I wanted to make my thermostat smart. Since I live in a rented apartment, I am not allowed to make any major changes to the heating system. This is a fairly simple device with great potential. The frame is clipped onto the the thermostat. You dont need any screws or other mounting hardware. You can install and remove this in literally under 5 seconds.  The concept is simple: a microcontroller controls a servo, which operates the thermostat via a wheel. Originally it was just an arduino which after a certain time turned off the heating again. The timer can be set via the button and the LED. Variant two uses a Wemos D1 mini connected to a smart home (ioBroker) via MQTT.This allows the old dumb thermostat to be controlled via the internet and it can react to events. So it is able to do everything that an expensive smart thermostat can do, for a fraction of the price. Hardware: Wemos D1 mini or Arduino nano any 9g micro servo 3mm LED push-button (mabe a transistor if your servo is making a hissing noise) I don't know how I'm able or if I should upload the arduino code. I wrote it myself and to be honest it is pretty terrible, but it works. Im a beginner in programming. If it is requested I will upload the code, but be shure to see a mess :DI tested the design for several months and never had a failure. So I am pretty confident to say that it is very reliable. None of the parts need support.
