Here's my storage-solution for my new moe's low poly adaptation for monopoly (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-65300). As we do have a great fablab in town (https://www.fablabs.io/labs/map) where you can use a lot of different tools, I decided to create a box that can be made with a laser cutter. The corresponding game-board can be found here: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-72605 IMPORTANT: Before you start this project, make sure that you use materials (wood & acrylic-glass) with a thickness of 5 mm! I used Inkscape (freeware) to make those models and to convert them to a format for the lasercutter. You can use this program to open the .svgz-files you find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3047424/files There are as well some 3d-printed parts that come along with the design. These are the parts you need to print:7 x storage streets1 x storage house hotels moezillas1 x corners game parts1 x storage corners bottom1 x storage street cards1 x storage street cards register1 x storage money dices2 x storage board parts For the lasercutter you need the following parts to cut / engrave with a material thickness of 5 mm:1 x box (I engraved the inner parts of the left top part and cut everything else) ASSEMBLING :Here's a short description how I assembled those parts:• Sand all the parts after having them cutted with the laser-cutter• Apply a layer of wood stain to all the parts• Sand all the parts (not with to much pressure, just to make them smooth)• Use glue to put all the parts together by applying the glue on the "outer-spikes" of each part.• Apply 3 layers of clear coat to all the wooden parts and let them dry Don't hesitate to ask me questions about how to build this box if the description should not be clear enough. Files Tinkercad:Here you can find the original files from tinkercad if you would like to modify them:https://www.tinkercad.com/things/7XHYqph2qLe Big THX to Kurt and his fablab who helped me build this project by teaching me how to use a laser cutter and how to generate the models. Fablab bern roules :-)
