With this Covid thing hanging around and causing us not to be allowed to venture outside for pretty much anything I decided to do another Speaker design. This one should fit pretty much any standard 4" driver - with an outside diameter of 11.5cm and cutout of 9.5cm. You can mount a female RCA plug in the rear for the wiring. This design is an open type (which as with my other designs is not based on any audio science whatsoever, so don't ask me for the calculations of the ports). I have put one of the drivers in I had laying around and I have to say, the sound is not half bad. I will probably be using this design as the base for something similar to my modular sound bar allowing you to print multiple enclosures that can be attached together to form a larger unit. I have printed the enclosure "face down" with supports. As an experiment I reduced the layer height to 1.5mm on my print. Print time was well over 24 hours at 6cm a second with 20% infill so you will have to be patient.

I purchased my first 3D printer in 2016 when Aldi Stores in Australia had one as their weekly special. The printer was a Wanhao Duplictor i3 branded a Cocoon Create 3D. Ever since I have been an enthusiast home printer and I also started looking at making some of my own designs using Tinkercad. In 2017 Aldi again had a 3D printer on special - this time a rebranded Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus and I decided to sell my "old" printer and upgrade to the newer model. I enjoy tinkering with electronics and audio which will over time probably start to show in the designs I publish here. I would very much like to hear from people who print my designs and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have!
