I have a couple of light stands wich come with typical nylon carry bags, and these work perfectly fine. Some of my light stands have a short piece of thread at the top - either 1/4''-20 oder 3/8''-16 UNC - to mount various other gear to. That is nice, but those damn threads keep poking holes into my nice carry bags! Luckily some of my light stands have these little threaded plastic protector cups which screw on to those threads, covering them and spreading the pressure thus preventing my bags from being poked through. So I figured I'd copy this idea and print a couple of these to save whatever bags don't have holes yet. I made versions for 1/4''-20 oder 3/8''-16 UNC threads for your (and my) convenience.

My DIY interests are pretty diverse, mostly I see something I want to make or a technique I want to learn, then start doing it until I reach a certain level of proficiency / get bored with it and move on. If you're interested in what I have been up to in the past (or right now), just check my flickr, instructables or deviantart accounts, you'll see most of it.
