As predicted, somebody has created a thin fighting board / fight box using my recently released thin arcade buttons... It's me. Yep, surprising nobody, here it is. At only 18mm thick, I think that I could only make it thinner if I used a pcb with surface mount switches or maybe a wafer-thin keyboard membrane but tactile feedback would be limited, like an old ZX Spectrum. Anyway, 17 tiny micro switches required for the 17 buttons. I would recommend a RP2040 (zero preferable) as an encoder. Here is a link to the code to drag and drop onto it : https://github.com/OpenStickCommunity/GP2040-CE I have included the two push buttons from my last release to save time. Print the push button parts upside down and use a brim, especially when printing multiples. Make sure the micro switches are oriented to have the tiny push button in the centre of the casing. I do prefer the feel of the standard arcade micro switches with their longer distance to a bigger click but these have their place, if you can get used to the near instant (mouse button like) tiny click, then I guess the reward is a quicker action.
