Color:

Textured hex base with presupported versions for flat-to-flat sizes of 30mm, 33mm, and 35mm. 30mm is the standard for the table top game I use them with, but 33mm still fits on most hex boards for that game and 35mm can be nice for a larger display piece. The texture on top is to help minimize visibility of bubbles and other imperfections in the clear resin print. Varnishing the base before use can further mask imperfections and improve transparency. These bases are meant to be supported only around the edge so that they can be torn free and put to use with no major cleanup or sanding. To varnish, add 5-7 drops of varnish in the base depression and swirl around to get a thick but even coat over the whole bottom. Let dry, flip over, brush the top and edges with the same varnish and ensure all the little hex groves are filled. Matt clear varnish is best but satin finish will work too. Some background in caes anyone reads this far for a silly hex base: I accidentally ordered a big bottle of clear resin when I wanted gray - so I thought ok I'll use it since I like clear bases. I prommptly discovered that little bubbles and other imperfections in clear prints drive me completely insane and that it's not easy to sand things down and still have it be clear. So, I wanted something I could just brutally tear off the supports and still look good with zero sanding and minimal other work.
