Culture: Neolithic Material: Stone Diam 6.4cm Accession No: HCA 207 Current Location: The Hunt Museum Limerick. Stone sphere carved with 4 large equidistant bosses surrounded by circles of nine smaller bosses. Three of the larger, have irregular incised line engraving. The bosses are relatively low profile with gentle, less defined definition between. Over 400 examples of this type of object are found in Scotland, Britain and Ireland have produced examples in dateable contexts from the Late Neolithic to the Iron Age. More.
