Material: Bone. Accession no.: HCM 101. Current location: The Hunt Museum, Limerick. A carving of a human head in bone. The head is surrounded by an oval and there are three tubular openings running through the centre of the piece. It is probably Coptic - a style of artistic production by Christian Egyptians until the 12th century. This piece dates from 4th-6th century AD. More.
