This mirror has evolved over a number of years and is now worthy of posting. The bar end piece fits a 19mm (3/4") internal diameter handlebar. Other parts needed are: a 50mm diameter mirror, an M5 set screw with nut for the bar end piece, four short M3 set screws for the cap, a longer M3 set screw for the arm, a spring of some sort (e.g. a cut down piece of spring from a hand soap dispenser, a small piece of flexible plastic tube or several small O-rings), a small rubber band or piece of thin elastic to hold the collets in place, a thin piece of wire to go through the middle of the arm so the head doesn't fall to the ground if the arm breaks, a smear of bitumen mastic or similar on the ball end of the arm to help the head stay in position.   The arm is longer than necessary so it can be cut to size after the screw thread has been formed to take the M3 set screw. The washers are used to prevent the screw in the arm coming loose when the arm is rotated. Modified metal washers can be used as a substitute. A lot of support structures will need to be created and removed when printing with a single nozzle filament printer, especially the bar end piece. The arm should have sufficient cooling towards the end of the print to prevent it sagging. The cap for the ball should be tightened down just enough to stop the head moving when riding. There will be a small gap between the cap and the head. The other arm can be used if a bar end mirror is unsuitable. It is held in place using zip cable ties or thin wire and there is privision for a short, pointed screw to be fitted to grip the handlebar and prevent rotation.
