So I found out about the Parrot Drone Accessory Design competition 2 days before it finished... This is what I have come up with! I have done a lot of brainstorming- many ideas came out of this, but due to my limited CAD skills at the moment this was the most achievable deisgn in the timeframe available. A rough sheet of accessory ideas is attached on the pictures section. --- This is a sun visor for the Parrot Bebop 2 drone. It should make for better video/image output from your drone- blocking out the sun to help prevent lens flares. Lens flares are a known issue (from the research I have done) when using the Bebop 2 as a filming/photography drone. --- Note: I do not own a Bebop 2 drone and so exact measurements could not be made (no exact sizes were given in the reference files from MMF for the Bebop 2). I used the .stl that I had (of the drone's bottom chassis) and took measurements from that using Netfabb. I then found different images of the drone online to compare sizes against in order to come up with (hopefully) accurate measurements which I then used to create the visor. Therefore, I cannot guarantee that the visor will fit the Bebop 2 drone perfectly. --- Even if I do not place in this contest, I have drastically improved my CAD skills through designing the visor! I learned how to use Autodesk 123D Design, Netfabb and Meshmixer in order to create the final file. Being only a young student (just starting out in 3D design), I have learnt a lot from this task. Thank you! --- Credit to Kirby Downey- His Bebop 2 mount file (from the "design tools" section of the contest page) has been used in this model. I did not design the connector!
