The badge has an oval shape. Against the background of rays, a cross is depicted, on whose shoulders an inscription reads: “II-LPB”. In the middle of the cross, in the oval heart area, there is an eagle with a crown, with a date between the arms of the cross: 30.-IX.- 1914–1916. On the nut of the badge, the manufacturer's signature is visible – “J. Knedler Warsaw”. The pattern for the badge of the II Legion Brigade was approved by the Central Publishing Office of the Supreme National Committee on 30 November 1916.Such a badge was awarded by the Command of the II Brigade of Legions to all soldiers of the II Brigade who fought on the front over the period of 1914–1916.The manufacturer of the presented badge was Jan Knedler (1867–1926), an engraver artist, founder of a medal workshop, an artistic and engraving workshop, and the first factory producing watch chains in Poland.The II Brigade of the Polish Legions, created on 8 May 1915, called the Carpathian or Iron Brigade, was widely known for the Uhlan charge against the Russians at the Battle of Rokitna on 13 June 1915.
