This is a loose rendition of Athena Parthenos. I borrowed many other available 3dmodels to mash this together. Since I didn't scan this in person, I didn't have photographs to refer to, so I used photos online and for some aspects did something different to suit personal taste/stylistic reasons. From what I understand, the original Athena from the Parthenon by Phidias is lost, but ancient reproductions exist. As per Wikipedia, they are: The Varvakeion Athena, a 3rd-century CE Roman copy in marble is housed in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. This is generally considered the most faithful version. The Lenormant Athena, a small unfinished copy, perhaps of the 1st century CE, is also in the National Museum, Athens.Another copy is in the Louvre.[14]Another copy is in the Museo Nazionale Romano in Rome.A 3rd-century BC copy is housed in the National Museum of Serbia in Belgrade.[15]A 3rd-century BC Roman marble reduced-scale copy of the statue's shield, from the Strangford Collection, is conserved at the British Museum. There is limited information on the model I started with like the location of this scanned replica. It's crazy to 3dprint with all the overhangs and tiny bits, but we managed it in plastic without resorting to another 3dprinting process; I don't think it would have worked if it were attempted any smaller than this without thickening it up in places. The snake tongue was melted into place after 3dprinting and is not modeled in; it was made of scraps.
