This mummy mask is from the late period, that is the 30th Dynasty or later (circa 380-332 B.C.). With almond-shaped eyes and extended cosmetic lines, the defined lids and brow outlined in black, the full lips drawn into a slight smile, remains of black gesso on the wig, it is typical of the funeral art of this period. This piece was part of the Antiquities Sale at Bonhams on the 6th of July 2017.
