The combination of sugar phosphates and base pairs can seem abstract and difficult to understand on a micro level. By physically putting pieces together, the learner can understand on a macro level how DNA double helix forms. Try printing in different colored material to differentiate base pairs, for more advanced learners. Also can be used to demonstrate DNA through reproduction (with enough printed pieces). Comparable DNA kit (around $23) - https://rb.gy/7lbomz. Cost of material to print this kit is $10 (24 pairs like linked product). This kit contains two different model kits for DNA molecule demonstration: Rectangular kit includes 2 different pieces(male and female) and allows learner to put pieces together. It is more forgiving in tolerances than the spherical model and requires very minimal support/post processing if any. Spherical kit includes 4 different pieces("end" pieces not entirely necessary) but is more detailed in components of the molecule. Printing requires modification of tolerances, support material, and some post processing. Recommended to print with interlocking parts orientated up, with brim. Avoid using interface generated supports as well as any support in the hollowed out part of "mid" pieces. TOLERANCE/OFFSET FOR JOINTS ARE WIP, may want to edit in OpenSCAD file - look for comments indicating offsets in the code
