Description The original holder for the retaining band of the luggage compartment cover of my Toyota Aygo (2008) stopped working. It worked like a barb (you can see the original part in some of the pictures - used that one until I got an appropiate cord). Because the hole in the luggage compartment cover got worn out over the years, the original holder got lose all the time until it wasn't working at all. I've designed the replacement part shown here. I used a washer and a screw (made for use with plastics) to fix the replacement part to the luggage compartment cover from the underside. A cord (I've installed one with a diameter of 4 mm but 3 mm would look better in my view) is knotted to the holder and a slipknot on the other side of the cord is used to attach it to the boot lid. I recommend a bowline knot for both ends of the cord. You can remove the cover as easy as before. Now the cover goes up again when I'm opening the boot lid which is very convenient. I've printed the part on a printer which wasn't fully calibrated at the time of printing. Regarding the print quality, there are several things that can be improved. Since I'm going to sell the car, I don't think that I'm going to print it again. Used software FreeCAD 0.17 Simplify3D Files I've attached the STL, STEP and FCStd files. This way you're able to easily adjust the dimensions using FreeCAD. Everything else :-) Please contact me if you've any questions. if you've used this part, please leave a comment and share a picture of your make. Thank you! P.S.: Unfortunately, I don't know if the proper model years regarding the Peugeot C1 are consistend with the model years of the Toyota Aygo. If someone knows anything about it, please let me know. I would be happy to edit the title accordingly.
