Boardgame insert for Lord of the rings - Journeys in middle earth. This insert is specially designed to fit the core game with all expansions* in core box excluding map tiles. Map tiles are stored in one of the expansion boxes include with the manuals. Please read the disclaimer below before printing DISCLAIMER!!! My cards are sleeved in Non-glare Arcane Tinmen Sleeves that are a bit thinner than e.g. FFG own sleevesWhen the cards are stored unplayed in the card holders, it is a tight fit. IF not all your cards fits in the holder, then you can store some of the card temporarily in player card holders, and then when you have prepared for playing you switch around the cards i.e selecting heroes, roles etc.See the section about design considerations * Poison and Scourge mini figure pack is to be released in October and for that reason im not able to test if the content will fit, however there should be room for it in the insert, the one thing that might not fit is the Lich King, if the heigh of the figure are higher than the balrog, it wont fit.   The design, hints and tips My goal with the design was to contain all the main content into the core box. I wanted all the figures to be secure in the box, and I wanted to make the setup and tear down of the game quick as possible. The insert is designed so when all the component are stored, it is locked in place and should not move much.   Test files:  I have prepared some test files that can be used to test your printer settings before printing some of the bigger pieces, all these files are named with test. I sugest that you start of by printing the test card holder, it should fit atleast 15 cards otherwise you might need to store some of the cards as mention in the disclaimer. The card holders: There are 2 big card holders, one for skills and one for items, then there are 5 player card holders. The skills cards are rarely used, only during setup of the adventure, so it is okay for it to take some time to setup up the first time for each adventure or if you decide to change roles during the adventure. The skill cards are seperated into big chunks of cards, this being Titles, Roles and Heroes, what you might find in other designes is that the roles and heroes have dividers between each one, I choose not to do this to save alot of space, and as mentioned it is rarely used after initial setup up. I sugest that you sort the cards lexically though. The item cards are used a bit more often, but that is before you star a scenario, so that can with ease be taken out of the box when needed and put back again. It is seperated into, mounts, weapons, armour and trinkets. Player card holder, the game supports 1 to 5 players, each player has it own deck and skill cards not in their deck, so there are 2 spaces in each holder for this. The basic skill cards are supposed to be stored in each of these card holders. The holder supports 3x1 mm magnets, to snap the holders together, this is NOT a requirement I did use the magnets however I find them not as strong I would like, so you might be better of with a ruberband. The big card holders have gutters to pop up the cards when the are tightly fitted.   The figure trays: there are serval figure trays all these have a hole in the bottom that fits a 10x1 mm magnet if you want the figures to be more secured, however this is NOT a requirement, and the are standing fine without. It is important that the figures are more less placed on the trays displayed in the pictures as some of the figures are heigher that others. There are a lot of variance in the base size of the figures so some of them will fit tight and some of them not that much but still okay. The Balrog figure tray, can be printed with or without columns attached to the tray, then the columns can be printed seperated and glued to the tray.I have printed the tray with columns attached. It takes some time to print the tray so make sure the columns will turn out correctly, use the test column file for this. I suggest to place the 5 heroes that you play closest to the player card holder for easy access. The token play organizer: this organize are designed to make setup easy as all the component that you use the most are gather in place, the components that used the most in the front, then the side and at last on the back. The fear and damage card can be shuffled and be drawn directly from the organizer. As boons, banes, terrain, weakness cards are not drawn, they are stored conviently in the organizer. Terrain tray: this stores all the terrain tilles, this is combined with the hero sheet tray. On the pictures magnets can be seen, this have been removed as it did not provide any effect. Hero sheet tray: stores all the hero sheets, I suggest that you put those you play on top.   Thats it good luck with the printing! I hope you enjoy the insert
