This is my Blitz Bowgun secret money box including the dual blades stand. The weapon in the game is massive, I scaled this down to 622mm long so it is a practical size for a money box. I designed this to be printed on a small form factor printer. All parts were printed on my Lulzbot mini 152x152x158 build area!! Settings were 0.25mm layer height, 15% infill, 3 outer layers and 4 top/bottom layers. Rigid.Ink PLA was my material of choice. I used Simplify3D for the slicer and only 3 parts needed support. These are marked (support) at the end of the file name. All part files are orientated as I printed them, and the quantity needed is in the file name. See the exploded diagram and BOM as well. The parts are push together, A small drop of glue is used to secure the handle. Tight tolerance fit holds the rest together. You can see a video of the money going in here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BHxsX7wvp0 You can see a slide show of the parts as they came off the printer here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcCbkN7fgpE You can see a slide show of the completed model here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9QRhOHGTKA This was a challenging project that was really enjoyable. The first time in 20 years I have painted a model, first time using an airbrush too. All the parts were drawn in SolidWorks I then exported the limbs and butt into Meshmixer to tweak the surfaces for a more organic look. 65 parts to the Bowgun & Stand. Dummy mag and bullets extra. Also included a woodgrain stencil to help painting!
