This is a gearbox to motorize Daniel Noree's wonderful EMS SW1500 locomotive (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/12438). It uses a low RPM 580 motor. All axles and shafts are mounted on ball bearings. It's best to motorize both trucks to get more torque. Notes: Everything is printed in ABS. The frame and the cover are printed with a 0.2 mm layer height. The gears are printed with a 0.1 mm layer height.   The truck uses 6 ball bearings (3x7x3 mm) and 3 mm steel axles (57 mm long each). The central shaft is 70 mm long. The gears have a back slot to insert a M3 nut and are locked on the shafts with a M3 grub screw. It's better to smooth the teeth with a triangular file. The Motor fits tightly in the Truck turret with help of a tiny bit of filing/sanding. The truck in action

I began in the 3D world several years ago. I had bought first a Velleman K8200 kit. Made some nice things with it after a lot of upgrades. Now I have a K8400 and more recently I bought a Prusa I3 MK2. Both give nice results. Lately I've added an Artillery Sidewinder X1 and 2 resin printers (Proton and Mono-X). Most of the fun is designing your own projects and then bringing them to life by printing them. ATM I found a new hobby and I'm mostly designing stuff for a 1/32 garden railway.
