I found this awesome metal chess set that was missing 2 pawns. I scanned one of the surviving pawns with my smartphone and then duplicated it a couple times. If people really like this I could probably find a way to scan the other pieces. Todo: make it match the weight of the original with weights on the inside.   Scanned with the sadly now nonexistent 123D Catch app. The raw file is included. Then I brought this into Blender for cleanup. After cleanup, there were some non manifold parts that had to be deleted and I reduced the polygons so it would slice faster. After this, I exported as x3d because Cura 2.3 can't open a direct stl export from Blender for some reason but it can open an x3d export. Saved as stl from Cura. If you open pawn.blend, the cleaned/sculpted scan is on the right. The middle are the two pieces that are being reduced after the remesh operation (a boolean operation still has to be done with the base) and the right is the reduced and merged result. The right model is available by itself as pawn-remeshed.blend.
