When I design an end-use product like this ring, I always use Autodesk Fusion 360 to make sure all dimensions are as accurate as possible (sometimes down to the thousandth of a millimeter!) and everything fits like it's supposed to—it's my go-to CAD software when I need the design to match my vision. Get it here! (affiliate link) A simple and elegant ring embossed with the 4 cardinal directions and vertical dashes at other important angles. Two arrows pointing towards north remind you to stay on course! The size of the ring in the file is a U.S. size 8, which means the inner diameter is 18 mm. It can easily be scaled up or down to any other size. The ring in the photos was printed in Sterling Silver by Shapeways (it cost about 20 USD), and it turned out incredibly! An SLA printer or an FDM printer with a smaller nozzle and good layer resolution would work best to produce the small details. If you really want it to last and look good, getting it printed professionally is relatively easy and cheap.

Hey! Welcome to my page. I'm a full-time college student who designs models for 3D printing in my spare time. My work focuses on taking advantage of the unique aspects of the additive manufacturing process to create functional objects. Mostly, this means that I design usable models of things to which people otherwise might not have easy access (or that I think would benefit from a touch of maker-ness). Take a look at my objects! I hope you like them :)
