Here is a small articulated snail ... with a whole bunch of shells to print! The shells are easy to put on and take off, so you can change them as you wish. This design is a mix between two designs:- The friendly articulated slug by Isaiah for the body of the snail- The realistic garden snail by crashdebug: I used his shell as a basis for mine Many thanks to them for their great designs! Twelve shells are available:- shell01organic: looks like a real snail shell- shell02scrolls: shell with scrolls- shell03broken: broken-looking shell- shell04disco: shell with a disco / psychedelic pattern- shell05organic2: another realistic shell- shell06square: shell with square-shaped patterns- shell07flowers: shell with flower-shaped patterns- shell08oriental: a shell with a pattern inspired by far eastern art- shell09coral: a shell which looks like coral- shell10steampunk: a shell with a steampunk style - shell11circles: a shell covered with circles - shell12scales: a shell covered with scales There is a 13th shell file: shell00basis.stl. This is the file that served as the basis for all my shells. This version is only slightly modified compared to that of crashdebug. I put it on so you can use it to create your own shells! ENJOY ! Some printing tips: - I recommend printing the body of the snail (= SlugV1.1snail.stl) with 35% infill for reasons of strength. I also recommend a layer height of 0.16 or less. There is no need for supports.- I recommend printing the shells with a low infill rate (I printed at 3%) to avoid them being too heavy. I also recommend a small layer height (0.12) to better highlight the details. You have to print them with supports (I used tree supports). If you print a snail, post a make, that will make me happy =) Some printing tips:- I recommend printing the body of the snail (= SlugV1.1snail.stl) with 35% infill for reasons of strength. I am not sure what will be the result with another type of filament. The filaments I used:- Eryone Silk Emerald Green PLA- Eryone Dark Gold PLA- Noulei Antique Gold PLA- Noulei Copper PLA- Sunlu Silk Black PLA Credit for patterns:- shell07flowers.stl: the pattern was designed by GarryKillian (Freepik)- shell08oriental.stl : the pattern was designed by macrovectorofficial (Freepik) I also took some 3D textures on this great site: 3dtextures.me
