I designed this case for the IPhone 5s/5c using Solidworks.  I found the circular design gave the case an interesting look, as well as resembling a snowflake as a Christmas design. As I was designing it I didn't that the pattern on its own looked as good, so I duplicated it placing them at different points along the case. This worked out well adding more details over the back of the case. The case clips easily onto the phone protecting the back and the edge from scratches!   I designed it to be a fast and easy print - placed flat down onto the print bed, (so the file will print as it is - without any need for support material or any extra measures).   The case was printed using an Ultimaker 2.     I used white PLA - at a layer height of 0.2mm and print speed 50mm/s with good results, as it is a fast print you could reduce the layer height further or choose slower print settings to produce a case of even higher quality!

I'm a product designer and avid proponent of all things 3D printing! I'm enthusiastic about its applications from construction, production, to medicine. It's a great technology for facilitating innovation across industry and for me personally! I enjoy working with all the things that can be done with 3D printing already and also am hugely optimistic for its future potential. Coming from and engineering background I like to design functional products, combining prints with other materials and components for interesting outcomes.
