The purchase of a set of battery powered t-light candles inspired this project. The candle is held in the base by a disk that is secured with super glue before the glass and top (which is part of an old water bottle) are glued.   STL’s I have uploaded for the top are for both as one part and as separates. The reason for this is that I hate using supports, I feel sometimes it is just a waste of filament, so I always try to find another way. If this means having to glue a part together I am happy to do that, but those who don’t mind I have included the top as one part that will need supports.   My print quality on this model is not good. I have had major problems with my printer and am only just starting to get decent prints, so please no comments on the quality of the print in the picture.

I always wanted to be a draftsman and have always had a passion for designing things. I started my life as a cabinet maker, so love making things, whether it’s out of paper, cardboard, wood or plastic. I am a keen crafter and amateur book binder. I love computers and consider myself very computer literate. I have taught IT, built my own PC’s, repaired PC’s and worked in IT for a short while. So it was only natural that considering my background I would move into 3D printing. I consider myself a novice, but am learning new techniques every day and love the fact that there seems to be a whole community just for 3D printing. What a wonderful place to learn and share my work with like minded people.
