Description:A bronze corpus or crucifix figure. The figure is crowned with the hair in ringlets and the head leaning slightly to the right. The feet are side by side and resting on a suppedaneum. The loin-cloth is long and elaborate, it falls below the knees and is fastened to his left, from which folds radiate out. The figure is clothed in a loin-cloth with a decorated belt around the waist. The surface of the loin-cloth is decorated with incised horizontal lines and circles. The figure was originally gilded. Date Made: 11th century AD
