Hi! This is my first try to make an sphere using a Phillotaxis algorithm in OpenSCAD but something went wrong with formulas and i get a 'egg'. Great!!, just add some spikes and i have a dragon egg!! Wooo!!! After a few tests with some variations i've generated a bunch of eggs ready to print. Developed as a decoration figure. Printing tips: Printing the full figure yo may need supports and a brim to get a good grip on bed. There's a little trick that i use when printing at big size: 1.- On your slicer (i'm using Cura but S3D or Slic3r can do it) move down on Z-axis the figure a 50% (half size). Create a Gcode for this (upper part). 2.- Rotate 180% (not flip) and save the gcode as bottom part. Print the two Gcodes and stick them with some glue Following this steps you'll be able to print big figures in 2 parts without supports. Looks great on a shelf or a table. Hope you enjoy it. Have fun!

Hi from Spain! I design and print as a hobby. As a programmer i love OpenSCAD and all the stuff related to algorithmic art. (generative, procedural, simulation, etc.) I pay the bills working as a teacher of Computer Science. Always it's great to share my design so i hope you find something useful, funny or challenging in my stuff.
