Bulkhead (or Mask, named by the artist) is a colossal scale fragment of a face or mask made by Rick Kirby. It was completed and installed by Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre from 2003 until the building was demolished in 2009. It was installed in the city of Canterbury as part of a sculpture festival called Blok. It was so popular that the city's council bought it and had it installed by the old theatre's forecourt.   This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free. Scan the World is an open source, community effort, if you have interesting items around you and would like to contribute, email [email protected] to find out how you can help.
