  Georges Méliès was a famous French illusionist and filmmaker celebrated for his groundbreaking cinematographic techniques including multiple exposures, time-lapse photography, dissolves and hand-painted colour. His œuvre, A Trip To The Moon, is considered one of the most pioneering pieces of cinema to date. Sculpted in bronze by Renato Carvillani in 1951, This life-size bust heads his tomb at the Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
