This is the most detailed 3d topo I have ever seen. I made it from a LIDAR dataset collected to study nitrogen export and made available on http://opentopo.sdsc.edu/. The LIDAR point cloud was gridded to a 0.5m resolution. You can see the crack systems which make up the popular southeast buttress (5.7) climbing route. You can see Eichorn Pinnacle (5.4). You can see individual trees! You can watch my tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4-ICkvyJv0 The print took 11:25. It was sliced with Simplify3d at default high quality settings and printed in PLA on a FlashForge. I also included a larger scale model which shows all of Cathedral Peak for those who are interested. This thing was featured on the 3D Printing Today podcast available on iTunes, Stitcher radio or direct from the source at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/
