Color:

A Crucifix in rosewood with boxwood corpus. There are ornate gilt metal terminals on the cross arms and upper shaft. The base is hexagonal. The crucifix figure has a short flowing loin-cloth, a crown of thorns and the feet nailed together. There is a INRI plaque over the head and there was an ivory skull attached below the feet, this is now missing. This piece was probably made by Andrea Fantoni of Bergamo, Italy.
