Miletus (Turkey), sanctuary of Artemis KithoneFrom the division of finds 1906; marble, around 570 BC In the deepened panel, the relief represents two women with long, belted chitons and small cloaks. The heads of the strictly frontally depicted figures are covered with a veil. They held no longer recognisable objects in their right hands raised to the breast.  This object is part of "Scan The World".
