This painted vessel comes from The Heuneburg, a prehistoric hilltop settlement on the upper reaches of the Danube (Sigmaringen, Baden - Wurttemberg) and has been dated to a late phae of the Hallstatt culture (6th Century BC). Today, the piece belongs to the collection of the Department of Younger Prehistory and Early History of the University of Tübingen.
