Every year The Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille, France, hosts an exhibition inviting a contemporary artist to present a project or a series of works in the museum. The guest of 2015 was the contemporary German artist collection interDuck whose speciality is revisiting the most iconic works in the history of art and remixing them with ducks. The figure inevitably recalls the character of Donald, created and popularized by Walt Disney in the 1930s. So another pop art. From Leonardo da Vinci to Picasso through to Friedrich and Monet, all the big names are reinterpreted and dispossessed of their most famous works. The original creations were featured in the museum throughout the year, juxtaposed with some of the most iconic works of the Palais's collection from Goya and Bosch. This one in particular is a retake of Rodin's Shade- the original can be found on MyMiniFactory on Scan The World, read about it and download it here! This object is part of "Scan The World".
