This statue of a dancing girl is meant to represent immortality. It was originally a tomb statue. Its sculptor, Paul de Vigne (1843–1901), was a Belgian sculptor. He was trained by his father, a statuary, and began by exhibiting his Fra Angeico da Fiesole at the Ghent Salon in 1868.
