Four reliefs by Nicolas Bachelier come from a large altarpiece in the Dalbade, demolished in 1741, of which they are the only known elements:The Annunciation (Inv. D 1980 1 1), the Nativity (Inv. D 1980 1 2), The Adoration of the Magi, Presentation in the Temple (Inv. D 1980 1 4).The canon of ideal proportions of the bodies, the costumes of the holy characters and the compositions of scenes depicted in Antique architectural settings show a new assimilation of the art of the Italian Renaissance.
