This Stoup has figurative engravings marked on the sides. A stoup is a basin for holy water, notably found on the wall need the door of a Roman Catholic church for worshippers to dip their fingers in before crossing themselves (not to be mistaken with a Font, used for baptismal purposes). The work originates from the second half of the 17th Century, its provenance the Church of Saint Bernardo in Pisa.
