This is a copy of a statue found in Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli, originating from an original sculpture of the 2nd Century BC. The Roman sculpture was most probably a copy of a Greek original. It is largely believed that the statue depicts a standing priestess of Isis, but since has been restored to be a priestess or vestal holding a jar. Over time the work has been subject to much restoration. The head is antique, but not related to the original piece. The original can be found in the Capitoline Museums (Inv. MCo735).
