This statuette (~60cm in height) originates from the Roman Period, discovered in Byblos. The sculpture is fragmentary, but from other examples it can be identified as a nymph holding a shell. Another of its type can be found at The State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, where other copies of this type can be seen.
