Color:

The shrew with its elongated, cylindrical body, clearly set neck, long snout, small eyes and ears is natural-realistic. The eye white has been designed with silver. It measures approx 4 x 16.3 x 6.5 cm with pedestal and dates to the Late period (about 664-332 BC). On the back there are three finely crafted ornaments from head to tail: a winged sun, a winged hawk and a winged vulture. The shrew was sacred to the falcon god Horus in Letopolis. Inv. No. 1101
