The hair is gathered into a roll on the nape of the neck and on the brow are three rows of tight curls. The physiognomy and the hairstyle lead us recognize a portrait of Claudia Octavia (40 A.D - 62 A.D), daughter of Claudius (41 - 54 A.D) and Messalina. She played an important role in Julio-Claudian propaganda, especially after her marriage with Nero. The diadem isa mark of the rank empress, obtained after her marriage with Nero (53 A.D) and after his accession on the throne (54 A.D).
