Pèire Godolin (1580-1649), the man portrayed in this terracotta bust, was an Occitan poet. He wrote in the Toulouse dialect. The portrait was acquired by the museum after the destruction of the old Hall of Illustrators of the Capitol, Toulouse, in 1887.
