This slightly larger than life granite sculpture depicts a solitary male panther; it was sculpted by Maurice Prost in 1948. Prost is famed for his sculptures of panthers, creating sculptures of the animal now popular in art deco. Despite him usually casting sculptures in bronze or sculpting out of marble this, and the other sculpture outside of the Rameau Palace- a female panther with cubs- (also uploaded on Scan The World), is made from granite.   Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free. Scan the World is an open source, community effort, if you have interesting items around you and would like to contribute, email [email protected] to find out how you can help.
