Throne with upper part of the seated figure missing from waist up; base broken; finely cut hieroglyphs on throne showing two falcons on the upper portion and two kneeling figures grasping a “sema” on the lower portion of the both the right and left side surfaces of thrown; rear surface of thrown showing large “sema”; front surface of throne inscribed. ProvenanceFrom Giza, Valley temple of Menkaura. Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1909: assigned to the MFA by the government of Egypt.(Accession Date: May 17, 1909) Photography and photogrammetry by Zhejiang University.
