This is one of eight lintels which together list nine generations of rulers at Yaxchilan. The lineage culminates in the accession date of 9.5.2.10 6 1 cimi 14 muan (14th January AD 537) for Lord Mah K'ina Skull 11, also known as Ruler 10. The lintel dates from the fifth century, early in the Yaxchilan sequence. It has been suggested that Lord Bird Jaguar IV, the principal protagonist in the lintels.
