Material: Ceramic; Porcelain; Metal; silver. Accession No:MG 101. Current Location: The Hunt Museum, Limerick. A ceramic Imari ware covered bowl with silver mounts. The body is cylindrical with two round handles with scrolled ends. The lid is domed with an animal, perhaps a lion, and flower knob on the lid. The bowl is decorated in a palette of underglaze blue and overglaze red and gold. There is a silver mount around the rim marked HS, possibly added when the bowl arrived in Europe. Japanese 17th century AD
