The DuSable Museum of African American History is dedicated to the study and conservation of African American history, culture and art. This drinking fountain is the Halsey Taylor Bubbler, a sink reserved for people of colour up until 1954 in The United States of America. The fountain is juxtaposed against a drinking fountain of the same manufacturer (see thumbnails), reserved for white people, thus underlining the 'Separate but "Equal"' notion that plagued human rights.
