This is a fragment of the last Bucintoro and represents the remains of Ganymede with the Eagle of Jupiter. The Bucintoro is the legendary ship on which the Doge and the Signoria went every year to Ascension in the Lido to celebrate the unique rite of the marriage between Venice and the Sea. The last was built between 1722 and 1728, under the direction of naval engineer Michele Stefano Conti. It measured 35 meters of length and width 7 and was moved by 168 rowers. In 1797 the Bucintoro, decorative apparatus private, was armed with cannons and for the defense of the lagoon. It was later transformed into a floating prison and finally demolished in 1824. The room documents the splendor of this boat, through engravings, paintings and some remarkable wooden decorative fragments doratodell'apparato last Bucintoro, by Antonio Corradini (1729) and its workshop. Following the painting Embarkation on the Bucintoro Dogaressa Morosina Morosini Grimani (Venetian painter of the century. XVII) to his palace on the Grand Canal in St. Luke; Note the painting on the right wall of the "theater of the world", floating pavilion used for parties A bust in painted terracotta, finally, depicts the admiral Francesco Duodo, by Alessandro Vittoria (1525-1608).
